My Favorite Month!
I believe that April is my favorite month of the year. My reasons are as varied as the flowers many people plant this time of the year.
First, there’s the best reason of all; that is, Easter. What a day of hope and joy.
The other reasons aren’t nearly so profound. First, there’s my birthday. I used to tell my wife Shirley how many wonderful people were born in April; but then, she got hold of a list of really terrible people who were born in April. Folks such as Hitler, just to give you one example. I no longer tell her how wonderful the children of April are.
Then there’s the beginning of the baseball season. It’s so great to go to a game and hear the crack of the bat, and to enjoy all that a spring day has to offer. Then there’s the optimism all fans possess this time of year. Even though we are probably just a week away from elimination, even the Diamondback fans are optimistic.
Whatever your reason for liking April, I hope you enjoy this one to the hilt!

Barbo: The only good thing I can say about taxes is that it feels so good when we finish preparing them.
BudPundit: Taxes are funds taken from the people to send representatives to Washington. These representatives exploit the poor by giving them hand-outs; this is called welfare. The more welfare they can give, the more the jobs of these representatives are perpetuated.
Olive3: Don't be too hard on us poor Diamondback fans. At least, we have a roof over our park to keep out all sorts of bacd weather.
Olive3: Not only do the Diamondbacks have a poor team, but also they are serving no beverages at the park this year. It's sad! The reason is, they lost their opener!
